With over 40 years of experience in international business, project management, and data analytics, he brings a multidisciplinary lens to leadership—uniting scientific rigour with entrepreneurial execution. At the helm of Life X DNA, his role involves setting the strategic direction, overseeing product innovation, building scientific credibility, and ensuring operational and financial resilience. He works closely with a highly skilled team of geneticists, data scientists, and health consultants to build cutting-edge health solutions that are both deeply personalised and widely scalable. Dr Puya Yazdi is a physician-scientist and biotech innovator with over 15 years of leadership in genomics, bioinformatics, and precision health. As Co-Founder and Chief Science & Medical Officer of OmicsEdge, he led the creation of cutting-edge AI-powered precision health technologies, assembling and guiding a team of over 50 experts across AI, clinical research, and bioinformatics. His work produced over 350 advanced genetic reports, three patented algorithms, and industry-leading innovations in polygenic risk scoring, genotype imputation, and local ancestry modelling. For Life X DNA, Puya drives the scientific strategy behind our AI-driven platform, helping ensure our methylation and wellness solutions remain the global benchmark for precision and innovation.
Manfred Grabherr, PhD
VP of Bioinformatics and Ai
Dr. Manfred is an internationally recognised authority in genomics, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence, with over three decades of cross-disciplinary experience spanning academic research, biotech startups, and AI-driven healthcare innovation. He holds a PhD in Applied Physics and has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals, including Nature and Science, amassing over 35,000 citations. He is also the inventor on several patents in AI and computational biology. Manfred is currently an Associate Professor at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences and previously served as Senior Researcher and Team Leader at Uppsala University for over a decade. He played a key role in the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden (NBIS) and held research positions at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where he contributed to large-scale genomic analysis and computational tool development. His work bridges AI, precision medicine, and functional genomics, with a strong focus on translational impact.
Biljana Novkovic, Phd
Director of Research & Development
A Precision Medicine Scientist with over a decade of experience driving research and development in life sciences. With a strong foundation in genetics, she holds both MSc and PhD degrees, and is deeply passionate about advancing preventative healthcare through data-driven, personalised solutions. In addition to her scientific expertise, Biljana has pursued formal training in Information Technology at the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Organizational Sciences, where she specialised in Information Systems and Technologies. Her cross-disciplinary background spans genetics, computational biology, and software development. Her mission is to bridge the gap between biomedical research and real-world application—leveraging technology and genomics to transform how we detect, prevent, and manage disease.
Laurent Dufloux, PhD
Big Data Engineer
Laurent is a PhD-trained mathematician and data engineer with deep expertise at the intersection of geometry, dynamical systems, and statistics. His doctoral and postdoctoral research focused on the Hausdorff dimension of limit sets, fractal geometry, and Lie groups, with several published contributions in peer-reviewed journals. Laurent has held academic roles in Finland at the Universities of Oulu and Jyväskylä, where he also taught advanced mathematics. Transitioning to industry, he worked as a data consultant with MERITIS and has since supported Omicsedge as a Data Engineer, building scalable cloud-based infrastructure and managing complex genetic data pipelines. He brings a rare blend of theoretical rigour and practical data science skills, making him especially effective in high-dimensional, research-driven environments.

Hailing from Stockholm in Sweden, Tobias relocated to Australia in 2003, where he’s since built a life with his Aussie wife and their three wonderful kids. Tobias plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, depth, and scalability of our genomic analysis, turning raw data into powerful, personalised insights. When he's not at work you can find him on the soccer pitch where he coaches U10's.
